but are adjustable ball joints better than the ones that go on the inner control arm?

They both do the same thing essentially. The sliding ball joint style replaces the stock ball joint and slides back and forth to adjust camber. The anchor bolt style slides the entire UCA to adjust camber. If ur looking for something more simple to install urself then the anchor bolt camber kit is pretty easy. Actually its very easy. The sliding ball joint u have to remove the UCA and press out the old ball joint and press in the new one. Some people do it them selves but I've never tried it personally.
