    Adjustable Suspension?

So, I know that you can get adjustable coilovers and such from some manufacturers and I was wondering if you guys actually DO adjust them...Like I can probably guess that the guys who do autoX do on race day or something but I'm not into that right now (hint the possibility) and was wondering if it was/is really necessary? Thanks Guys. Noob to suspension.

Well, with the option of adjusting your height, you can pick and choose how low or high (to a point) you want to be. Say you want a 3" drop... there's no springs that are still made (Sprint Extremes are discontinued), your only option is to get adjustable coilovers. Only problem being is that every time you adjust the height, you'll need an alignment.

So "adjustable" is only about height, not about stiffness or softness?

Yes, most full coilovers give you the option to adjust the dampening.

Most are "32-way" dampening, but you're really only going to be able to tell a difference between 4-5 clicks.

If you're totally new to performance suspensions, I recommend a spring/shock combo for 2 simple reasons:

          1) It will ride softer on average, because going from stock to full coilovers might be too much for you

          2) It will be much cheaper.
