ok I have done some searching and I can't find the answer, so here is goes. I know my rear bearings are toast, and I need to replace them. I have a 90 lx with a 93 ex rear disk swap and my question concerns the compatibility of drum rear hub/bearing and disc hub/bearing assemblies. I don't have abs so I don't need to pay 30 dollars more a bearing for a gear on the hub will the drum bearing work instead (parts guys don't have a clue at auto parts stores). I know you guys know this.

I don't know if I understand the question, but if you have rear disks now, get the rear disk hub/bearing unit. It's one piece. $90 or $114 @ TAS Auto:

i'm asking is there a difference between the hubs other than the disc brakes have an abs gear on them, I am finding this out today I asked a parts store in town to order both so I'll look at them tonight I'll bring my calipers and pen and paper, then I will share the info for cheap arses like myself.

I had the parts store order in both the rear bearing/hub assembly for drums and for discs after measuring I have concluded that the gear on the disc assembly is $30 I measured every thing that would be a potential problem, and have found no differences, I did notice that the bearing number was a different number but all physical dimensions were the same within .002". I am going to the junkyard tomorrow to play around with this then I will give a thumbs up or thumbs down. so for cheap arses out there that have swapped to rear discs there is looking like some hope for us.

well I went to the junkyard and the bearings fit like a glove, however the bearings on my car were not bad, the rear friction pad on the inside pad on my passenger side brake had seperated and fell off causing the metal backing to grind the eff out of my rotors hence the bad grinding (sounded like my front wheel bearings when they went bad). so I fixed and learned that rear drum bearings will work on disc spindles.
