Legend wheels?

I picked up a set of 15" rims off an '88 Legend today. Same, 15x5.5 like the Accord, bolted right on, rear wheels spun freely once bolted on.

Got all 4 wheels on and went to back out of the driveway and feels like they're dragging on the calipers or something, which makes no sense. They feel like something is stopping them from rolling. I can't move the car forwards or backwards for more than a couple feet before it feels like it wants to rip the wheels off.

What's going on here??

They may have a higher offset than our stock wheels.

Spacers may fix that. But don't go over 5mm on stock studs.


To know for sure, measure the backspace on your stock wheels and Legend wheels.

Hmm that would make sense. Do the Legend and Accord share any suspension components? When I took the wheels off the Legend, the suspension looked very similar, both front and rear.

This is getting annoying trying to find another set of wheels for cheap.

According to one website I checked, it says for 1990 and older Legends, like the car I got the wheels from, bolt pattern is 4x114.3, offset is 38 and centre bore is 64.

Then is says for Accords, 91+, 4x114.3, offset 38 and centre bore of 64.

There's no difference.

pull your wheels off and see if you are hitting the calipers or drums, thats all I can think of. let us know.

That's got to be what it is,but I don't understand why they would be if the specs of the wheels are the exact same?? The Legend even uses the same lugnuts.

Damn! those wheels look good. It would be a shame if they don't work either. I don't know why they won't. spacers maybe? keep trying

For real. Im not sure of the year they came from, but i know someone using a Legend wheels on a 9091 and theres no problems that i know of.

Yeah I saw someone's sig on here running Legend wheels, but they are the style with the bigger holes, not the smaller teardrop style like I've got.

I will have to see if I can fiddle around with them tomorrow or sometime. In the meantime, I'll put my old wheels back on.

I do quite like the look of the Legend wheels too. They aren't in terrible shape either. I was thinking of painting them, but I think they look pretty good how they are. These were just going to be the wheels to get me through the rest of the winter since the tires on my original rims are balder than all hell.

Maybe I'll just swap the tires around.

Yes you need spacers (5mm) for the front wheels. They would not clear the calipers in my car. I am running the same exact wheels for winter wheels.

Where can I pick up a pair of spacers? Would any wheel shop be able to get them?

Not sure about/aboot Canada, but in the U.S. I was told by the person I got the wheels from that he got them from PepBoys (an auto supply store). They are 5 mm spacers.

Wheel shops usually keep them in stock. Just call around, I'm sure someone within 30 mins of you carry them.

Last case scenario, there's always eBay.
