    Blown shocks?

So I finally got the cb7 out after replacing wheel bearings and an axles. Now i noticed when my back seats were out the rear driver side shock sounds like its basically rattling around. Im talking about the top piece, along witht that theres pieces of rubber all around it like its tearing apart the little bushing thats sitting on top. Is it a blown shock or do i have some other problem that im not looking at?

if its rattling it can be the strut mount bushings.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Have a look under there to see what the problem is. If it's a bushing you should be able to see that it's failed. If so, replace it.

Unless the problem is that you simply haven't tightened down the top hat or the mounting nuts enough or they've come loose. In which case tighten them up.

I didnt see my upper bushings, they looked fine. but they rattled when you hit small bumps. so i replaced them and the sound went away.

I think its your strut is failing. Check your bumpstop and springs & check any torn.
