Got the damage report on my suspension after owning a curb

Well, I checked my suspension out after getting owned by a curb. Long story short I lost traction turning left at an intersection and slid into a curb. What I have learned is that I definitely effed some shit up under the car. And if I didn't damage it hitting the curb then it was probably bad before. What I learned is...

    I need-
    Front upper control arms
    Lower ball joints
    Right front cv axle
    a serious alignment

My ball joints are loose, my control arms are bad, and my cv axle boot is punctured and leaking grease. I could also use a camber kit. It's not as bad as it could've been. I was lucky. Anyhow I definitely will be parking the Accord for the winter and buying a beater to get around in.

Those are repairable man. The real question is, if your suspension was repaired, is your car still driveable with your auto tranny issues?

IMO, if you're tranny is driveable, fix your car. I believe it to be your cheapest route. I'm sure you can borrow a car until your suspension is fixed. Anyone driving your car with bad ball-joints is asking for trouble.

Getting a "beater" will cost money. More than likely, you will need to do repairs on that as well, to make it safe and driveable. Really, you are back to square one.

I would prioritize replacing the upper control arms and lower ball-joints, if you're on a budget. Then do the alignment, after the job is complete.

You can always do the right CV shaft later. Torn boot just makes it susceptible to contamination, but it does not mean it is currently bad.

i know but im weary on driving my car in the winter because of how low it is. instead of borrowing a car id like to just have something to drive whenever my car is being fixed or during the winter so im not getting stuck everywhere. plus if im going to really start building this then i dont want to risk sliding it around in the winter and crashing it. id rather have something else for 500 bucks that only has to last one winter for peace of mind.

Ah, so the real reason is you need a winter car because you don't want to drive this one. Makes sense, keep the Accord in better shape, etc.

Check your PM in a sec, got info for ya.

Also, if your car's front camber is too far out of spec (negative camber), that will affect your tire wear significantly. It will wear the inside shoulder of the tires quick. This also could have had an affect on your handling around corners and lack of traction, especially with already camber worn tires (even if middle of tire has tread).

PM or call me on your recent alignment numbers, I want to know what your front camber measured and rear for that matter.
