I have the ceramic golds and they do just fine. Only like 35 bucks.

yeah the duralast golds are okay. Not the best but better than the base duralast or valuecraft. I think they're ceramic too so thats better than semi metallic and organic...just wear a little harder on your rotor though.

If you wanna upgrade, Get Acura Vigor rotors (any year), since your getting new rotors anyways, Vigor pads and calipers and you'll have 11.1 inch rotors in front instead of smallish 10.2 inch ones. Plus the pad is much bigger, about 30% bigger and the calipers stop way better. These brakes also resist warping MUCH better, so if you're having that shaking upon braking in your steering wheel, it'll disappear w/ this setup. Much more fade resistant. All of this stuff is a direct bolt on. You need 15" wheels though to clear them. Just a suggestion since you're replacing brake parts...why not upgrade right?

I have Hawk Street Pad and Powerslot too at initial do you feel like bumpy when braking? I feel like the pad hit every slotted grove when i brake.

                  Only have 1mile on them.

the duralast gold pads have a lifetime warrenty and it includes wear. wear them down and take em in and they give you a new pair. Its kinda dumb but i used to work there and shoot its worth the money.

The pads arent that bad, but arent as great as many other brands...however i run them in all my cars. my van, my 300zx, my cb7, and other peoples cars that i work on.
What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Ok .. Resurrecting this thread from the dead for the time being ..

I really like the idea of larger rotors, and this really sounds good Losiracer2 .. but a quick question to anyone who might know ...

                        Mine is a 90 4 door and I believe it's a ROH set-up .. which I know is a real PIA ..
But to add to this, I also have the 97SE rims ..(not sure about the off-set)
but will the calipers clear my se rims?

Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated ..
                        Thanks guys!

it takes place of the old one, calipers are not moved at all. all that is changed is the bearing and the spindle assym. Only when you upgrade the calipers is when you have to think of it.

When I go to eBay looking for the Vigor rotors, all I come up with is this 5 lug pattern ..
                            http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ACURA...item3357705271
Or, is this just a stock image that they use?

Also, I'm pretty sure that in doing this conversion from the Vigor, that .. along with pads, calipers, and rotors .. I'll also need bearings ..

Correct me if I'm wrong ..

                            Thanks again!

You don't need Vigor rotors because they are 5x114.3 pattern.
I believe you need the CB9 rotor which are bigger than CB7's.
