1. megan racing not a reputable company compared to the other companies that sell suspension components
2. a rear lower tie bar doesn't do much
the point of the bar is not for cosmetics.
you can't really see the rear lower tie bar because of the position of where it is installed. a cb7 isn't a civic or an integra, which have a lower position, and thus visibility from behind.
from behind, you're barely going to see a rear sway bar, let alone the tie bar that sits just a bit higher than it.
absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

yeah you can't see the bar at all driving from behind. what more when the car is lowered. you need to be raised over stock dimensions for it to be viewable, and we all know stock height is already 4x4 status. i really don't see a performance benefit from this bar but i guess every little bit helps.
dang elliot i didn't know you had those components in your rear end of your car. your setup is very similar to mine, minus the DC lower tie which you said doesn't do much. i even have gr-2s also. does your exhaust rattle against the sway? my greddy pounds away at my ST. beautiful coupe as always!

i've upgraded from the gr-2s to koni yellows. the change is definitely an improvement and very noticeable.
and of course, the exhaust and sway bar rub!

Hmmm, this was definitely a question I was thinking about myself.
I always thought that Megan was a step above the generic Ebay brands?
As far as DC bars, I thought that they flexed just as much as a generic bar? I could be wrong, but that's why I could never justify getting the DC tie bar unless I got a great deal on one, but if for a rear tie bar they all are equal, I'll save my money and get a cheapo rear bar.
I have a cheapo rear bar, a nice front one, and I was gonna go with the oem sway for now.
This is all good info.

Hmmm...interesting. I noticed a difference with every piece of my suspension including the rear lower tie bar. Maybe I noticed a difference because my chassis isn't stiff enough."This is a jaded bunch. To gain notice, you have to challenge conventional wisdom, test assumptions, and ignore the naysayers."

i noticed a diff with my ebay tie bar.
the rear -sat down- more when i installed it and there was less "trailing" of the rear end in turns..
i think stock height people like may notice it more but i think it helps in many cases. What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!
