You should get OEM lowers (not exp.) ...I would not go with those lower bj's.

          Because he's a fucking ass!!! LOL J/K!

I recall bcjammerx having this convo on another thread. Something to do with him either having a negative experience, or that he doesn't feel comfortable "cheaping out" on parts like that.

hit a pothole and bye bye brand new upper joint.

i am still using the front uppers and lowers, but they look like shit already even before my joint killing drop.

As to their construction, it isn't the best. The groove for the snap ring is too shallow, the snap ring is the only thing really holding that upper joint in, it is pressed in but it doesn't seem tight at all.

However, even new OEM joints are made like this...even your stock ones are...But I can not speak as to how "tight" the OEM replacments are nor other replacements other than those sold by tas...as I have only had the original ones and these tas ones.

The OEM lower joints are NOT expensive and you would be better getting them.

I hit pot holes all the time...did so 2-3x's with my original 15year old ball joints, bent my steelies 2x's. Ball joints were fine. Old...but never failed on me.

The day I installed these I got ran off the road, hit a pot hole (not near as bad as the previous times) and pushed the ball joint right out of the arm.

                      Granted...it WAS a good hit...but a 15year old ball joint took 3x's the abuse...AT 15 years old...these couldn't hang at one day old.

You can get 'em...but I would NOT recommend the lowers...get OEM. I am using their a-arms with spc joints
from this post, it sounds as if he is speaking about his lower's failing on him.

the oem LBJ's are only about 20 a peice.
and the UCA's from tas are 60 a piece.

so 160 total. minus the RUCA's

not bad considering the semi-quality parts.

It was the uppers that failed, sorry for any confusion...my lowers are OEM honda replacements FROM honda.

The uppers and lowers are made by the same people (note tas doesn't make them...tas sells them) and from other's exp with that manufacturer they say they don't last very long. And that equates to lower quality.

However, I had already bought my rest. kit before that person shared their personal exp. with that manufacturer.

Now I've seen upper ball joints fail and I've seen lowers fail...when the lowers fail you wreck...when the uppers fail...you pull over to see what that weird clunking is.

I opted to buy OEM quality lower ball joints that I KNEW would not fail on me. I went ahead and went with the lower quality uppers just to test them...again...if they failed I would be all right. And they did fail.
