    ground control coilover differences?

why does ground control specify the type of strut that you are going to use? are there any physical differences?

I think it only matters if you use Koni struts. The threaded sleeves from ground control fit the koni struts exactly and seat on the little clip instead of the strut cup that is usually welded on other struts. The koni version is a perfect fitment and sometimes require sanding the paint to get the sleeve over while the other struts they are loose fits and require using rubber spacers.

            No problem at all.

Just so you guys know the non-koni version will still work with konis, but you will need to use the spring cup/seat. The koni version will only work on koni struts though.

actually they have a different sized ring that goes into the bottom of the sleeve so i slides tight around the strut to give it a little grip to the strut. atleast i think so, because you have to specify which strut you have when ordering, whether it be a koni, agx, bilstein, etc....

you have to actually call them and ask them about getting the custom spring rates when you initially order them with the sleeves.

I would assume that if it's any KYB strut other than AGX's then you would use the ones labled as KYB. Calling/Emailing Ground Control would be the best option.

I emailed them and they said that the thread tubes are damper specific, so a non-koni ground control will not fit over the damper.
