They are not very good at all. Definately look into some Ground Controls if you want a quality coilover.

Check Ebay. Brand new Apexi coilovers for $470. They normally sale around $1100. The new Nex coilovers ($519) on ebay I hear they are good. I just received mine in the mail. However, I haven't put them on yet. The Tein SS coilovers are very good as well. You may be able to find them for approx. $800-900. Maybe less on ebay.

Tein SS and Apexi would be my first choices for coilovers.. they are pricey but you do get what you pay for, as people say.

P.S. - hey kamaccord, are you ever on AIM or MSN?

I recommend one of the Four (4) coilover systems:

                1. Apexi WS Coilovers (World Sport) $470

                http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=42609

                2. Nex RS (Race Spec) Coilovers $519

                http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33582

                3. Hayame JDM Coilovers $600

                http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33586

                4. Tein SS (Super Street) Coilovers $830

                http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33582

Hopefully these will help your decision.

                Thanks!

I have had the ractive coilovers. They actually make 2 kinds. I had the euro kind that has the damper spring as well as the regular spring. It was suppose to be better than the regular coilovers but it was terrible. I definately do not recommend them for the cb7. I even had my Neu. Konis with them and they ride still was terrible. I wanna say it was as terrible as the skunkworks coilovers I had right after that but they were both terrible for different reasons although neither provided a great ride by any means. I do love me current setup though

the only reason people say ractive coilovers suck is because

                    1. They use OEM shocks with them.
                    2. They like the soft "STOCKISH" spring rates of ground controls.

Ractive coilovers come with rates of 450/350

While ground control comes with rates of 3xx/2xx which is pussy for handling.

And if u're using coilovers be prepared for a stiff bouncy ride.

I ride on Skunk coilovers 560lb/in all around with koni yellows and i bounce all over, the ride is damn stiff.

Oh and if u dont like the sporty stiff ride, go get some regular springs or pay $$$ for ground controls
