    how hard and long does this take?

    ok well my upper control arms failed inspection on my car so i ordered new ones.. i got the spring compressor and all the tools i need and my buddy is gonna help me.. but how long does this take and is it really hard to do?

    anyone got any advice on how to make it easier and quicker or any advice on doing it?

    theres two bolts inside the bay, right below the struts, take those off, and pop the upper ball joint off

    and your good, theres prob even a diy for this

      you dont need a spring compressor!!!! loke jhoff said 2 bolts and pop the ball joint off thats it.... all you need is like a 12mm i think and a ball joint tool.... 20mins tops each side

        Two 17mm on either side of struts under the hood.

        There is a cap on the knuckle which has 2 10mm bolts and after that you get to the nut on the balljoint.

          Yep 2 17mm bolts up on either side of the fender wells then on the knuckel pull the 2 10mm bolts off and then u pull the cotter pin out of the castle nut and sping the castle nut off with a 14mm socket. Then tap it with a rubber mallet on the threaded end of where you pulled the castle nut off and it will seperate.

              At work, like 10 mins a side.
              30-40mins with alignment and test drive.


              Outside with hand tools now thats a different story. I wanna say like an hour.
              Sometimes the upper control arm doesn't want to separate.
