Slam your brakes as hard as you can, if they lock, then they don't work.
    wat?

check the diy section. theres a thread on how to pull the abs codes. that should tell you wat your problem is.

also, are you losing fluid in your brake mc?

when my abs took a crap on me , my brake mc was losing fluid due to the fact that the abs pump was taking too much fluid and kept over flowing through the cap.

        good luck

I vote slap on brakes too. But on a wet or sandy road.

If your ABS doesn't work then the light should come on and stay on. ABS works by pusling the brakes. Also when you first drive away going 12+ mph it should do a self check, you'll feel it. Its like a spring tensioning or disengaging/engaging idk.
