You can, but the springs are going to be cheap. It won't be a good setup at all. I would just save your money to do it right.
There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

If you do invest in those coilovers, prepare to be sucked into a world of pain!..... in your wallet.

There goes your struts and abnormal tire wear.

                  Cut springs-
                  Pros: dropped look
Cons: very bouncy and rough ride, blown shocks quickly, no height or damper adjust, uneven springrates

                  Just springs-
                  Pros: dropped look, good performance
Cons: rougher, bouncier ride, blown shocks quickly, no major height or damper adjustability

                  Springs and Shocks-
Pros: great ride, best performance, dropped look, no maintenence
Cons: sometimes bumpier ride in places, no major height adjustability

                  Just coilover sleeves-
Pros: adjustable dropped look, OK performance
Cons: thread slip, blown shocks quickly, very harsh ride, no damper adjustability

                  Coilover sleeves and Shocks-
Pros: adjustable dropped look, better performance, semi smooth ride
Cons: thread slip, no damper adjustability

                  True Coilovers-
Pros: adjustable dropped look, great performance, damper adjustability, springs threaded directly on shock
                  Cons: some w/o damper adjustability

                  Others (airbags and dubs)
                  Pros: instant adjustability, smooth ride
Cons: for show, performance lacks, constant maintenance

You might want to consider a shock+spring combo. But im saving up for the full-coilover system. Tein Super Streets FTW!

Just save another 200 or so and you can get a decent setup like kyb gr2s and some eibach/h&r/neuspeed/spring/tein springs

just save and get some good springs that drop less than 1.5" and you wont have to worry about buying new struts or spending extra on a camber kit/tires

that's my problem.. i dont want to spend extra for just the springs. that 200 bucks, i could buy intake or cheap exhaust with that.

If you want to go that low for a DD then you need to save alot more money and get a good setup that can provide that drop with a good ride plus you will eventually need a camber kit to get your wheels aligned correctly. Im about 2.5" and now all my shocks are damn near blown but I knew that would happen before I went that low on kyb GR2. Choosing the right suspension takes patience. Look in the classified for the setup that Lemmonhead is selling, I drop his car with it and its ok, klinda stiff but you get shocks/springs/coils for a low price seeing that they are used.

There's no way you'll be able to go that low reliably for that amount of money.

Also, 200 for a cheap exhaust? A real cheap one, that's for sure.

Quality or cheap, take your pick.

                              Can't have both
