Anyone Else's Neuspeed Bar Rub on their Hood?

Like the title says.

I popped my hood today to find that the paint came off my Neuspeed bar and a spot on the underside of my hood. I was shocked, it might explain my cars new slight vibration tho.

So I just took electrical tape and wrapped the area and then took and put a little on the hood where it hit. I then adjusted the hood adjuster thing to raise the hood.

Does anyone else have this problem/solutions to it?

yea, my neuspeed upper strut bar touches my carbon fiber hood. the result is a little lost paint on the bar, and two spots on the underside of the hood.

doesn't really bother me, as my car handles well. when it did bother me two years ago, i put a little black paint on the spots on the bar. idk, i've grown used to it, and i guess the little spots on the bar give a little character, lol.

i don't like the electrical tape idea, as it seems a bit gaudy to me. also, i would imagine that the electrical tape will wear down over time, and you'll be left with the same result, worn down spots on the bar.

i don't have the vibration issue.

if anything, the raising of the hood a bit with the adjusters is probably the best solution.

Yeah, you probably are right that it will not be a permanent solution. Plus it was tonight when I put the tape. I only put a small piece I'm thinking no one will notice but knowing me I'll get all self conscious about it. I probably will paint it in the future. I just wanted to tape it to see if this solved my vibration issue. I agree with you on the handling over aesthetic view tho. I wouldn't change the bar for the world.

mine does the same thing and it really makes me mad cuz it makes the bar look bad.. but it might be back ive taken my hood off and not aligned it properly( like needs to be moved 1mm towards the windshield) not sure if it will make a different but someday ill try it
