depends entirely on the shop, and what kind of shop you take it to. i bet the prices would be cheaper at a performance shop than they would be at a regular mechanic, cause it's going to be something that they are used to dealing with.

jackstands and wooden logs for the win. dont have to pay a shop to do it and u get the thrill of installing your own parts on your own car. cant beat that feeling

true, but you'll need to rent a spring compressor, and have some sort of FSM handy, so that all the torque specs are readily available. and you need to have a tq wrench, obviously. which not everyone has.

Why dont you just rent the spring compressor then? I know near me I just have to leave a deposit, which will be refunded back to me once I return the compressor.

I've rented a spring compressor twice. It was like 25 bucks then you get it back when you return it.

It's not too hard to do yourself, I did the accord twice and my new car

When I put my coilovers on my 92 I just used some hefty vice grips, probably not the smartest or safest way, but it worked and I'm here to talk about it...and I have all 10 fingers... go me!
