hey guys. im just curious what my problem can be. I have this akward clunk on the front right side when taking a right turn. I'm guessing its either a ball jiont or the cv jiont doing that? let me know of any ideas what it could be. on the right side i had a new upper ball jiont replaced just to let you know.

Yeah, if you've lowered your car at all your cv joints are probably going. i lowered mine a couple of months ago and my CV's are going. It's because sometimes when lowering the front you have to take the CV joint out of it's natural range of motion. By doing that you mess up the bearings and whatnot.
I know, it's a great technical explaination...but you get the jist.

I don't really have a solution, but I'm experiencing the same problem on right turns. My car isn't lowered, but after inspecting the CV joints, I found that the boot was very much cracked and open on the same side as the clunking.Fix your Computer!

It may be the CV joint, a bad ball-joint or extremely dry-rotted/worn sway bar end link bushings.
A CV-joint will do the clunk more than once.
A ball-joint typically when the body of your car shifts and the same for the sway bar end-links.
Now, if you accelerate forward or reverse and you feel a clunk from your engine bay, check your engine mounts.
Or you could just check all the components I listed Get in the habit of checking all these (engine mounts not as often), every time you rotate your tires or take them off do do any work. Also, get in the habit of spraying "Silicone spray/lubricant" on your rubber boots, bushings & engine mounts... anywhere in your suspension. Prestone makes some of this lubricant as well as other brands, you should find it at Autozone or Advance Auto Parts. I will prolong the life of all this rubber by keeping it moist & not letting it dry-rot/crack as quick.
