    Steering wheel vibration

I have a '93 SE that has moderatre steering wheel vibration starting at 40 mph and increasing up to 60-70 mph. The various road conditions have a little impact on the vibration but not much. Occassionally the passenger seat will even vibrate. What are the common causes and are they easy to fix? Would an out of balance tire cause this?

On a lighter note, can someone recommend a friendly/honest honda perfomance shop in Everett, WA. area? Thanks for any input.

It could be alot of things man, I can list a few things to have checked out at the local tire shop:
    -Alinement
-one of the wheels out of balance

it could even be something along the lines of a worn out suspension system.
most of these things are things that you can't really check yourself. Check out a well established Tire shop and get your car checked out there.

I had a mild vibration after putting new tires on the front. I even had an alignment after putting them on. Then my mechanic suggested switching my back tires to the front. This worked. My mistake was that I put cheap tires on the front as I hope to pick up new rims soon. The tires on the back are good ones - BF Goderich. That worked for me anyway.........good luck.

first go to balance the tires. that is the cheap one. then check the tie rods. now u got two of them. the iner one and the outer one. next time when u jack up the car try to move the front wheel with ur hands. if u can move it like left to right or right to left then u got a tie rod problem. after that do the same thing with the wheel off so u can check with tie rod has the problem. the iner one or the outer one. the out one its easy to change the iner one its not that easy.

          good luck
