From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    chipped ecu with zex

i'm currently running a skunk2 chipped jdm p13 with a zex 55 shot(h22a)- i was just wondering for u guys with nitrous what you thought of running chipped ecu's- and the throught of the advancement of the fuel/timing curves and what kind of reaction it does with the nitrous. is it ok 2 tha chipped ecu with no2? I was just courious and wanted some feedback.

    thanx

There's no suck thing as a Skunk2 JDM P13. Skunk2 never wrote any code for the JDM P13. They only specialized in the USDM P13.

If you do have a chipped JDM P13 then I wouldn't worry about running N20 with it because none of the off the shelf JDM programs (Spoon, KS-Rom) advance timing or adjust fuel. They just remove the speed limiter and change the Vtec crossover and rev limit.

Generally speaking though when running a chipped ECU that modifies timing with N20 you have to know how much more timing is be put in so you can take out enough.

With a 55 shot though you have nothing to worry about, you don't need to make any timing adjustments. Running a colder plug would be a good idea.

i am running a zex 55 dry shot on my f22b1 with a chipped p0a ecu and it works fine only thing i don't like is how early vtec kicks in. i haven't noticed any timing changes.

rite now i'm looking into getting tha RPT Program 4 a P28 ECU.

if you are running a 65 shot how far did you retard the timing and is it still stock internals? i would like to run a 65 shot but i don't know.

have all bolt ons, and a 272 cam.

runs fine, i just want to get some tuning to the ecu also, but dont kno what route to go.

i have an extra f22a6 that im gona rebuild/build to handle 10-12 pounds for turbo and a small shot, 55-65 range.

              thats my next project

ran into a guy named stephen that has a turbo ls engine in his civic and he runs his own chipped ecu. He told me he can chip an ecu for me easily for $50 so i may just have to sell my a6 ecu and the safc now. It'll hold off the project a little longer most likely but aem fpr, walbro 255, dsm 450's, and a chipped p72 would be a great fuel setup and wouldnt advance my timing...hopefully it'll work out for me
