Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    50 shot

been thinking about this a lot lately, i red the FAQ bout nos, said for a 50 shot not much is needed, just 1 step colder ngk plugs and i can keep the ignition timing the same. what i wanted to know is, it said you should do a compression check first to see if its safe to run with the nos. where do i get compression test done and how much does it cost???

question 2, 50 shot isnt a lot, but is it enough just to have some fun with?

question 3, im running an f22a4 with around 260km on it(dunno how many miles that is) how long do you think my engine will last if i start running with nos?

question 4, i think i read that is said you need to use premium gas, is that all the time? or just when you plan on spraying? ex. can i cruise around with regular, then when i have an empty tank, fill up with premium and then spray?

also, my car is an auto, is that alright to run with it? i saw someone else on here, cant member there name, richie*nitrous i think...black coupe, auto, hes running nos. so is auto gonna make a difference with it?

Well first off its an auto youll kill that tranny its meant to only handle stock ower levels same as a 5speed but all you gotta do is change the clutch and flywheel to make it go better and maeks ure the synchros and gears arent seriously worn and your good to go. The auto is holding you back miles really dont mean much on a motor its who last drove it and was the maintenance up to speed and not beat on alot. Do a compression and leakdown on that motor before you go hard. Be sure to upgrade your fpr and your stock fuel pump to a 255lph pump from walboro. Get step2 colder ngk plugs make sure you change your oil fuel filter that sorta thing. Personally i would use premium all the way. I wouldnt even let regular or the medium grade gas touch my tank.

kk, so if i change the clutch and the flywheel, upgrade fpr and fuel pump to 255. gotcha

as for the previous owner, regular check up at honda every year, driven by a 70 year old asian man, never ran it hard i dont think.

is there anything else i should get done?

how much is a clutch and flywheel gonna cost me?

p.s would it be better to use a new oem clutch/flywheel or should there be a certain aftermarket clutch/flywheel i should be looking for?

id go with an Exedy or XTD performance clutch... price wise they arent much more expensive than stock, and theyre designed for more wear and tear, unlike the stock clutch/flywheel

I said again??? Damn, 50 can't catch a break. Then I realized this had to do with nitrous.

RICHIE*NITROUS has been running a 75 shot for quite a while now. No problems, and he does have an auto tranny. If I remember correctly.

yeah, its him that i was looking at, thats the reason i started wanting no2.
but over the past weeks, ive been thinking about going turbo...but i also want no2....hahaha i guess ill wait and see what route i choose

think it would be safe to go with both turbo and no2?

as long as you have the right stuff, anything is safe.

imo, it'd be safer to do it with a wet kit and a small shot(i would really only use nitrous on a boosted application to help with spool up time. but of course, not everyone loves lag like me )

hahaha Joes u crack me up... but true.. its not fun to b fully spooled by 2k.. u wanna b fully spooled by 6k and a huge turbo and feel the tire ripping up power as ur boosting not already boosted.. no fun.. lag is fun...
