From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

I'd be interested in more videos of pulls with your car. Also, overall do you have any significant motor issues or is it running well? Every get this motor dyno tuned, any results? What crankcase ventilation system you running now, how it working? What is the highest RPM you rev to consistently?

Why did you decide to go with the Skunk2 intake manifold?

Euro R manifold or stock manifold with a Blacktrax spacer under the IAB plate seem to be better options.

According to a number of dyno results I've seen online, Skunk2 intake maifolds seem to perform worse than the stock manifold (on H22s)
plan for this motor was to just do simple, off the shelf bolt ons. I wasn't too familer with the Euro R manifold back when i was building this, and the Skunk2 just seemed like a good option for the price. It didnt perform worse, it gave a huge noticable difference, with no tune. just putting it on and driving it, motor sounded a lot better, and pulled harder.

I'll try and get some more videos up. No issues with motor at all. VSS is a little loose, and even though my front and rear motor mounts are poly-filled, the motor still moves quite a bit. No dyno tune, just street tuned by Jose (D112crzy). No extra vent system yet, just an oil catch can. I haven't been driving it hard, but when i take it to the track, or feel like getting up on it in the streets, i shift at around 8300, redline is 8500. pulls hard all the way to redline

Since the Accord tachometer maxes out at 8K RPM, you have an aftermarket tach to monitor pask 8K?

What poly fill did you use for your mounts out of curiosity? Regardless, ESP is now and option and one that I went with on my white. I like the ESP mounts, but with only 326 miles on the motor it is too early to tell.

Eli, your exhaust piping outer diameter is 2.5, so inner is probably like 2 3/8ths or bigger.

i just use the stock tach, and just shift a little after 8k, around 8300. I'm not sure how hard the poly fill is, i bought both mounts from a member on here

I hope you have a sufficient crankcase ventilation system if you plan to rev this motor constantly. If I remember right from your photos, I didn't think it was sufficient, but you'll see.

Keep an eye on your oil dipstick and see if it pops out. Sure sign of excessive crankcase pressure.

Just drove 440 miles on my tank of Gas. Shell Vpower. Combination of highway, city, and some racing. I filled up again, did the calculations, and it came out to 32 miles per gallon. Not to shabby if you ask me.

That's sweet. I got 425 on my red, which put me at 31.5 mpg mostly highway. I got 31 mpg the tank before that.

So i would like some educated idea's please. when i installed my skunk2 intake manifold, the manifold brace was removed. i think this is why the motor moves so much.

What i want to do is put a small metal brace in between the intake mani, and the firewall. i think this will eliminate the motor from rocking back. so, is there any options besides going custom???

There is a reason for the intake manifold to brace to the block, so the entire engine assembly moves together. You do the firewall to intake manifold brace and you can have vacuum leak probs or other issues as the chassis and engine move independently (not a good idea).

Take the stock bracket and use it, if need be modify it to make it work with the Skunk2.

the problem is, the whole motor is rocking back, and my manifold is hitting my firewall. and my tranny is hitting my crossmember. a brace is the only thing i can think of.

Don't brace the engine by the intake manifold. That just sounds like a bad idea.

any ideas for keeping motor from moving so much?? my front and rear motor mount are solid filled.

would a front traction bar with a torque mount help?
