Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

No way, lol. Not after all the work to make the f-engine and transmission fit. Not about to redo the mounts/axles for that. Nice times starting out though. Everytime you go they'll get better. Everytime I go to a testntune I get like 2 or 3 runs in, idk if its the same for you..

I always thought my car feels slower at the track than it does on the street. Why? your Iat sensor gets heat soaked, and your ecu pulls timing as a result. If you can find a way to keep the intake manifold cool, your times would get better. I notice mine rising mostly when the hood is closed. with the hood open, it doesn't get nearly as heat soaked. These test were done sitting in my driveway idling. just my

my car gets completely cool. there is about a 30-60 minute wait between runs. heat soaking is not an issue.

I would love to go to a testntune and get in 5 runs. I think I have like 6 passes total with the civic. non turbo and turbo.

14.2 with some warped exaust valves and a blown turbo . It was interesting. That was my first run just rollin it off the line and I got a 14.2. That seemed kinda slow and the next two runs I made almost perfect reaction times and shifts and launched it as well as I could ended up being like 14.5 then the third run was 14.8,lol. It was getting pretty bad. On the trip home it was running sooo bad. Warped/bend exaust valves arn't too good on performance. I knew somthing was wrong on the way up there though. The car just didn't like it had the response it had before.

so, both my front and rear motor mounts are OEM solid filled, yet my motor still moves, quite a bit too.

The intake manifold will heat soak even with the engine off, you would be surprised to see just how long it takes for the im to cool off. Last time I went to the track I got around 100 degree intake temp on the way there and 135-140 when I launched because of how much it heat soaked while sitting still. I let the car sit with the hood open for about an hour and it only dropped to about 120. I have a bisimoto IM heat shield and the coolant lines bypassed. I am not completely sure but I think that timing is pulled with intake temps around this level.

                                I also wanted to ask...
Why did you decide to go with the Skunk2 intake manifold?

Euro R manifold or stock manifold with a Blacktrax spacer under the IAB plate seem to be better options.

According to a number of dyno results I've seen online, Skunk2 intake maifolds seem to perform worse than the stock manifold (on H22s)
