lol, see what happens when you start racin your car at the track. Shit breaks left and right! Happens to me most times I go to the track too. Putting the engine in a hatch will only make things worse,lol.

the car is drivable now. runs like a charm. i cant believe the engine movement though. that is how my throttle cable got screwed up to. the intake manifold slammed against the firewall also, pinching the cable.

this summer i plan on pulling the motor and taking care of a lot of little problems

Sounds to me like this project was half-a$$ put together. You should have known the condition of your engine mounts and attended to them while working on this motor. This should have never been an issue and only is due to lack of attention. If you understand the transverse layout of your motor, you would understand the front and rear mounts are the most important based on engine torque/movement front-to-back and vice versa. It is said that your tranny case fractured, such a nice tranny and for this to happen to it.

holy crap eli this is the reason why i dont drag or launch at 4k or even launch for that matter, i say dont half ass that tranny fix take it to a shop to be welded, then check and recheck and recheck EVERYTHING. hope ya get everything fixed

i agree 100%. attention wasnt paid to where it needed to be paid, and this project was super budget based. this summer the motor is being pulled and everything will be taken care of/repaired.

btw, i havent glazed thru the middle pages,...

so i have the rear mount totally loose, but i cant get it pulled out. any helpful tips or tricks? do i have undo the whole bracket?

finally. had to remove the rear backet, twist and push it to the side until i had the perfect angle to squeeze the old mount out and shove the new one in. Took me quite a while to say the least. wet pavement, and hail didnt help either. but im happy. hopefully this will keep my motor from slamming into my firewall

I shortened the throws on my forbidden short shifter. I remember reading somewhere that short shifters can damage tranny gears do to the quick movement of engauging the gears....anyone care to shed some light on this subject?

Went to the track for the second time. sorry no video's, i was all by myself Much better results this time, i improved every single run. My best ended up being a 14.423@ 96.72. With a 2.319 sixty I feel with a 2.1 sixty footer, 13.99 is realistic. I can always hope anyways, here is a few pictures i took.
