me and juan did some work on the car today. went to the junk yard and got a new resister box and a new intake tempature sensor, put those on. checked all the injector wiring and soldered that up. fixed the tps. jose sent me a new map, gonna put that in tomorrow and see what happens

Well it runs on the new map, he is on a test drive..
Eli and I almost died yesterday at the junk yard. We were pulling parts of and I look over, and this dirt poss dude is draining the gas out of a car into 5 gallon buckets. Then he is taking that gas and funeling it into another can(oil type 5 gallon can) and while he is dumping the gas in there, he is smoking a fucking cigarette... lmk how it runs on that new map. It SHOULD run good wot. It's the same map, except the idle portions. It always idled at 15in/hg, but when it idled good for those few minutes, it idled around 21in/hg so we never got to really tune that part.
He's coming over tomorrow for a retune. Hopefully all goes smooth this time.

Eli just left my house.
Car is running pretty good now.
Got a full exhaust welded on. It sounds SOOOO much better and quieter! It's not raspy at all and its nice and deep.
We were still having problems with the car idling high and only pulling 15in/hg. I played around with the tb rotor stop and finally got it to idle like a normal car.
The tps reads -1% tho, but we dealt with it. Since I didn't have a multi meter and we'd have to take the tb off. He can fix it once he gets back up to Juans. It won't change the tune because it wasn't off by much.
The biggest issue besides that was that the car goes really lean after doing some WOT runs. I can't figure it out for the life of me.
It MIGHT be due to the laptop/ostrich. He said that it never did that when he only had the chip in. So who knows. Hopefully that's the problem. It's weird, I've never had that problem with any other car.
Besides that, it's running pretty damn good.

lol. didn't get a chance to take video. But he just got a new camera, so I'm sure he'll post some up sooner or later.
It runs well.

Something else I remembered this morning.
The oil light flashes once in a while.
I'm thinking its one or a mix of two things;
1. He has a significant dent in his oil pan. This might be causing him to lose oil pressure. But I'm not sure if it's a big enough dent for that though as I've seen cars with even bigger dents with no issues.
2. The downpipe of that ESP.net header is extremely close to the oil pan. The heat can be causing the oil light to flicker maybe. But I'm not sure how exactly that sensor works or not. I don't know if it goes off when it's over a certain temperature or if it solely detects pressure.
Either way, I told him to switch out the oil pan from his old f22a onto this engine.
The oil did not show low on the dipstick at any time when the light came on either.

It goes off if he restarts his car. The wire plug is on there. It was off before, but I put it on there during the first tune session.
It usually also only comes on during highway cruising. I say usually because I haven't seen it come on any other time. But I haven't been in his car long enough to really know I guess.

car still goes lean after WOT and needs a restart. other than that drives super smooth. for some reason, it feels a little slower in the top end than before, but maybe thats just because its so much quieter lol. I'm going to do another pull with my buddys RSX-S and see how the results compared to last time.
