Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

i could cheap out and just go withh a set of green's but im not...i want all the clearances to be correct.

id say i want to do this right and not do it quick and easy. it was just harder than i thought especially the bottom end. it will take me a couple months to get the cylinder head the way i want.

i was looking at the f22 cc's and the h23 cc's and suprisingly they are quite different.
th f22 do not really have any shaper at all, just a circle with four holes however, the h23 have areas to direct the airflow.

im gonna have someone throw beads of alminum so that i can form a cc to be like this :o

arp head studs installed, h23 head test fitted with block guard on.
my bore clearance varies by over .002", so im gonna bore it straight, mount the head back on and see if it still moves.

i may be looking at a torque plate hone or even better...a hot hone (where i run 180 degree coolant through the block to simulate a running engine atmosphere) because it has been tested that it can still move up to 5 tenth's of an inch especially my aluminum block, even though it has iron sleeves.

toeque plate wise, ive asked bisimoto but he gets his hone done at golden eagle so i may have to purchase a block of aluminum and make it on the mill or grab my spare H23 head, mill it down to the head bolts, create a fitting for the hot water and plug all the water holes.

bored...need to mount the head and see if my cylinder bores move. if they do then ill need a torque plate for the hone.

a little deburring and smoothed the walls for better oil drainback.

my bore moves a bit with the cylinder head torqued down so i may look towards getting a torque plate.

quite possibly, i just finished a turbo f22 head for a member here on cb7t and he wants me to do his bottom end as well. also inspecting a sleved h22 block so i am getting a little bit of work. let me know what you want to do.

block sent out to see if S&S automotive can line-hone it. we dont have the mandrel to do it so whatever. im hoping i can use standard bearings.

may have access to a flow bench so i need to put my porting game face on.
