Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    almost done!!!!

Ive been on the forum for a while and still have no members ride pics, i do however have good reason for this ive been doing a comprehensive teardown on my f22 though one day i plan to go h22. I bought my car with a blown valve that the guy drove on for over a year when i got the car it barely ran, i still snagged a hell of a deal though i paid 150 for a 91 ex four door with 135xxx on the meter. when i got inside it needed rings rod bearings and a good valve job. being only eighteen and a full time student it has been difficult to come up with funds to build my wounded f22. 7 months later i have done a spotless port- polish and port-matching job which as i understand is going to make it breathe unbelievebly. also i did some research on piston rings and from what i hear foactory rings are just as good as anything else. but anyways i will post pics of my low budget ride when im finished. also after all of this does anybody still think that i should do a swap. post what youy think

Damn, you paid as much for an entire car as my F22a1 engine alone. Lucky biatch.

I commend you on the teardown & rebuild, was it your first time? I'm getting into that as well. So far I've removed the intake manifold and cylinder head for machine work, then have the blockwork coming when I get more money...prolly from tax returns.

Well most peeps with over 100K miles need valve jobs or rings on their Accords, you have this done so you have good compression most likely in all four. I say why not take advantage of it? Start working on your cylinder head first I recommend, then camshaft, intake manifold, header, TB, intake piping, cat, exhaust.....or do the swap...whichever you like. But if u do the swap...save up & don't invest in the f22...u could prolly sell if for decent money with the work you did.

As for your portmatch work, that'll improve some, but don't expect amazing gains....now if you did or had true port & polish work...like diggin deeper..then we talking.

yea I feel ya....out of curiosity, what are differences you noticed between a domestic & Honda teardown? What are things you liked about your Honda engine and didn't like in comparison?

            thanks for the info
