Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    H22 questions on build

Okay off to a big start here I called this 1 shop and they said they have to reline the block cause the sleeves and whatnot. they said they have to reline the shit for the type-s oem sleeves to go in there. I was like hmmm and to do the head it costs 150 and they were like is the engine in or out i told him in he was like 800 to take out and put in i hung up.

Should the pistons be put in and takin out when its still inside the bay? and what would you spend on just the work alone if you supllied the parts for a build.??? opinions please setup is skunk2 stage2 cams valvesprings retainers, camgears, spoon thinner headgasket,type-s pistons shotpeaning the rods thats it

imo i would just pull the motor and do it on a stand. your lookin at headachs in the bay, especially if you wanna do it all at once if you can even do it in the bay, I havent got that far yet but my engine is going to be out.

Im stickin w/ the f23a1 block so i dont have to resleeve, on the h22's the sleeves are nickesel and wont work w/ forged pistons or somthing like that.

I'm doing all the work myself so no one shoot me for this but im going out on the edge here. I would assume with the motor out you would be lookin a 1500 or more to resleeve, do the head work, intake work, and put all the internals in. The estimate on mine just to do the intake and head work was like 750
