is anyone running itbs on an h22 in their accord? me and dark accord both plan on running itb with our h22 set up, kind of be like twin accords here in louisivlle. but i was wondering if anyone already has them and wut they felt like? do like the feel of them, is the power gain extremely noticeable? i also plan on doing sum other stuff before i get the itbs, mainly upgrade the valvetrain, new cams, cam gears, pistons, and rods. so the itbs will be the last thing ill do. but ive always loved the sound of itbs as well, but im also concerned about not having a filter as well. i know they make filters for itbs but im worried about the spacing between the motor and the firewall.

everything i've heard about ITB's are 50 hp gain's and such, so a big difference. they're a pain in the ass though you have to tune them individually (duh) for the seasons.

well i myself wont be running them until atleast next fall. shawn(dark accord) already has his on order. i dont have the funs currently to do it right off the bat, but i plan on getting all the miscellaneous peices first, like the cam gears and stuff i mentioned above.

some people have had peak power loss with ITBs; so how much you gain depends on how well it'll work with your setup. the first things that are noticeable is the throttle response and the sound.

and yes, itb's arent all that great. My friend made more power with his custom intake manifold than with ITB's. this was on his 12:1 ls/vtec.

i have been looking at either ITBs or a customer cetner mount throttle body. I am not sure which will produce the best result, but it will be some time before i do that anyway...Comment

i am hoping to have good gains with mine. like mcdizzle said our accords are gonna have pretty much the same setup. ill be running type s pistons and some eagle h beam rods with mine. havent fully decided between the f or h series crank yet. mcdizzle where r u looking to buy your top end at? im currently talking to kms about their extreme head package. 599 for everything but cams. im also looking at some crower stage 2 cams. dont know for sure what exactly ill be doing though.

havent looked for anything quite yet, still worried about getting the motor in the car. all that stuff will come prolly next summer/spring when i get tax returns and my bonus/s from work. im looking at gettin around a grand bak in taxes and prolly a grand in bonuses as well

I like your plans for the H22... Lucky me I have yet to decide on boosting the F22 or doing the H swap for my car... With the H22, I had the same idea about the itb setup, but for now its all about saving the cash till I have enough for anything...Good luck with everything
