Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    f22 header question

my rings are blown in my 90 ex f22a4 and i just bought i good running f22a1 with about 88k on it with trannny and brand new clutch for 100$! does the a1 have less performance than the a4?

anyway back on track, it came with a header 4-2-1 with high flow cat, the "2" part of the header, bottom peice of the header if u will. has big dents in it. should i use that or am i better off using the top part of the header and the bottome part from my a4 motor?

    Thanks everyone

Yes, the a1 does have less performance than the a4, by 5 hp (125 vs. 130) The only thing the a4 has on the a1, is its tubular steel 4-2-1 header. Everything else is the same (ECU, IM, cam, etc)

You could try putting the a4 downpipe on that aftermarket header, it may fit, it may not, I'm unsure. If that doesn't work, I'd say just use the full a4 header/downpipe
