Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

my H23 head swap thread

    started today...
    took off header, moved aside powersteering, took timing belt off
    getting ready to pull the head off maybe 2morrow if i have time. (work+july 4th dinner)

    need to disconnect a couple more things attached to the engine harness then it'll be ready to pull. im sure i could take the head off today but the engine was still warm and i didnt want to risk warping the block and shit.

    did you know that the h23 injectors dont fit the accord wiring harness?
    it has some tabs on the side of each injector that wont allow it to slide into the plug...or i got a different set of fucking injectors.

      got the head off today, got oil all over my inner thighs!!! YES!

      umm, pistons look good, piston walls are smooth as fizzuck.

      so now i cant get the crank pulley bolt off...tried breaker bar and an impact gun. im gonna have my friend bring his higher torque spec impact gun to blast this shit off.

      my beater camry today got a new pair of tires right? apparently the valve stems were leaking as well. so me taking a corner r4eally fast pretty much caused the tire to roll over the rim, lol. i had to change to my spare at 5am in the morning inf ront of work.
      at least i did it in under 10 minutes

      otherwise...not too much progress today.
      im hella tired from work and blah.

          valve stems fixed oin the camry except it gets shit ass gas mileage now...put on 17 city miles and consumed like alkmost 2 gallons already.

          oh well...

              got one, but it was external...converted it back to an internal. i hope it works otherwise i might be forced to do the msd blaster coil DIY

                    you know whats crazy?
                    the h23 injectors fit the suzuki GSX1000r fuel inector wiring harness...

                    so if i really wanted, i could hack apart my wiring harness to use the h23 injectors.
                    but 30cc difference...is it necessary?

                    sigh...i dont want to starve the engine of fuel though.

                    anyways, waiting till monday for my friend to bring by his impact gun to blast off the crank pulley bolt.
                    maybe try and finish the timing belt and hook everything up?

                    i need a new powersteering belt since the head is larger and furthur away from the crank pulley thus requiring a larger belt.

                    im worried about certain things right now...
                    -knock sensor? (because im running a p14ecu)
                    -my external->internal distributor
                    -stock accord injecotrs...can it handle the slight boost in hp?
                    -will it even fucking run? lol

                      im sure your injectors can handle the power. ive heard of people boosting on stock injectors, with no fpr, fuel pump, or way of pushing out more fuel. they used uber.lol.

                      anyways, what about the external>internal thing are you worried about?

                          this h22 distributor that i got off ebay was external.
                          so i converted it back to internal (because i have brand new ignitions coils and ignitors)...however, the way that i did it, im not sure if it is correct.

                          im using stock accord injectors but thye have been cleaned/hypersonic (or whatever they use) tested...

                                just a p14 ecu that came with the head...

                                i remmeber someone mentioning the cc's for the injectors

                                like 260 for accord
                                290=h23
                                310=usdm h22
                                340?=jdm h22
