Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

A machine shop can do 0.040" over and if need be will. That'd put you at 86mm bore.
terribly sorry...wasn't in my right mind. but yea the most i've ever heard of was a .040 over

This stuff is fresh in my head cuz I talked to the machinist at the shop few days ago. If you guys keep an eye out on my "All-motor project" thread I'll find out once and for all what's the max bore we can do on our stock Accord sleeves. I'm curious to find out how thick they are and how much we can get away with before needing aftermarket sleeves.

Oh, I also found out in browsing through a friend's domestic performance parts magazine that Sealed Power offers some poly coated rings! I observed that at the machine shop I'll be using...they offer Sealed Power rings and the machinist has them on his 700hp engine in some off-road truck he has...I forget what.

What do you all thing about Sealed Power in terms or quality & durability for high rpm 11:1 compression ratio?

im having the block salt dipped and the cross hatching is going to be put back. the head is going to have a 3 angle valve job and a p&p along with the throttle body and intake manifold. im going to see how much it will cost to get the crankshaft knife edged. delta 272 regrind is definite. pistons, rings and bearings are going to be oem replacements.............. maybe

until you know how much overbore is needed for block, don't make choice on pistons yet....besides you could do a higher compression ratio

Then you are in the wrong forum... You should be asking questions from the Forced Induction folks (cheaters)...
