    H22 Intake Manifold Options

I am wanting to get an intake manifold and throttle body for my H22, but am having a hard time researching. I ran a search on here and got like 4 results...nothing about H22 Intake Manifolds.

The only Manifolds I have been able to find are the Skunk2, OBX, and the DH Racing Manifold.

So far I think the DH Racing Modified Stock Manifold and TB Combo are the best bet for me. Which would be better for gains this or the Skunk2 Manifold TB Combo? Right now I have a H22A. The only mods are a generic Short Ram, a 2.5 Full Mandrel exhaust, the JDM exhaust manifold, well thats about it. I'm still running the F22 tranny, which I will soon replace with the JDM LSD equipped tranny. Or a USDM H22 tranny. I plan on getting a PasswordJDM intake and eventually going with some mild cams w/ adj cam gears and some type of fuel management. I have a Feild's AFC now, but I can't seem to get it working right so might end up going with an Apex'i VAFC 2.

I'm not really sure what the best peice would be for me. I'm looking for the most gains...

    Thanks alot,
    Jeremy

my guess for the best manifold would actually be the euro-r one...which is what phatdoughnut referring to I believe. You really couldnt have done too much research tho, if you havent come across that yet...so yeah, go search.

ontop of that instead of gettin a manifold try to be more concerned about gettin a h22 transmission period it defeats the purpose of having that motor altogether as is right now.

werd theres a million other things you can do besides a mani swap right now. get a h22 lsd trans and a six puck clutch /w light flywheel and youll feel more gains than an intake swap.

When looking at a Euro R manifold don't just look at the manifold price. You have to use it's fuel rail as well as the sensors on it as well. It's a lot more involved as a changeover than would be a Skunk2 or modified stock. It also depends on where you want your gains. If you want all that high end power, then go for the Skunk2 as that is what it was designed for. If torque is your main priority, then it's probably not the manifold for you.

actually you dont need to use the euro-r sensor or rail. i just sold mine ready to use with a hondata intake manifold gasket for 375 shipped, thats with obd1 injectors, obd1 iat, 2 wire iacv and tps w/throttle body.

There's always that Fiber Images one I posted. Too lazy to look for it though so look for yourself.

portmatching, Port and polish. You cant just slap the manifoldso on unless you really dont want to see any gains..

Like I said I had a hard time searching....When searching for H22 intake manifold in Performance tech>naturually aspirated you only get 4 other results....http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/search.php?searchid=684625 maybe i'm search illiterate, or simply put the wrong words in who knows.

I allready stated that the next mod was the tranny...... Of course bash on the guy who only had enough to complete the motor swap the right way, maybe next time instead of getting OEM belts, tensioners, pumps, seals, and whatnot I'll cut corners and not replace anything at all. Then I'll have the money to afford that nice H22 tranny and really be able to enjoy it when the timing belt busts and I bend valves.

What is it with you guys? Anytime someone doesn't have the H22 tranny it's "we told them, but they didn't listen" Some of us don't have the means to do everything at once. I was in need of a motor and I came across a 5 speed parts car with everyhting I needed for the 5 speed swap for really really cheap.

Anyway, I was hoping to get the manifold on when I pulled the motor and tranny as it would be easier to get to it. I've done manifolds on other cars and sometimes the lower bolts are next to impossible to get to.

Thanks Jaret I'll look into that. Oh now thinking about it is it that Carbon Fiber one? God that things like a G and a half...

yeah searching here does kinda suck...but if you've searched up euro r manifold by now, i'm sure youve found something. I didnt mean to be a dick about it earlier...

and yeah there's a few people here who have it...I believe xScott is actually running one. Dunno tho, but good luck dude, and theres nothing wrong with taking things slow and getting it done right.
