Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Whats the diff..?

Ok I really having trouble here.
I have the F22a6 motor from a 93 Ex running my car.

    But..

My question is does it matter what kind of ECU I use to run it..because right now I need to shut my CEL off because its real annoying just to look at it. I was looking at a Pt3 Ecu for 25 bucks on Ebay. I need to know the differences and know if it matters which one(s) I use.

And Im also looking to regrind the camshaft and my friend tells me if I do that I'll need an AFRG (adjustable fuel regulator) and a bigger TB (throttle body) <~ I need to know where I can get one.

nope.... any accord PT3 ecu should run the motor just fine... if don't have the A6 ecu your secondaries won't open up.... I beleive you can hook them up so that they are controlled by the vac instead of the ECU...

and as far as the regrind... you don't relly need those things but they help.... with or without a regrind...

Any adj. fpr should work but they aren't the easiest thing to tune without some other tools...a good rule of thumb though is if you have I/H/E try about 2-3 psi more than stock and see how that feels... but you also have to factor in getting a fuel pressure gauge... STAY AWAY from B&M for the gauge no matter what....it will break... and there are alot of places that will bore your TB out for you, JG, RC, any decent auto machine shop should be able to do it...

edit: or if you wanted a slightly bigger TB, you could always try to locate an H23 unit... might be cheaper and allow you to overbore that later for an even larger unit in the future...

Mine broke within a week of installing it...

and only then did I look around and see if anyone else had any problems... and wouldn't you know it.... complaints were everywhere.... the fitting that comes with it is most helpful though and somewhat hard to find a similar part elsewhere...

so it might be worth it if you can't find another suitable place or way to mount a gauge or aren't using -AN fittings and braided lines...

I just bought a $20 liquid filled gauge from Summit and did a little custom work to mount it right on the fuel rail... perfect spot...right next to my fpr...

cool. I was only gonna use it for tuning purposes on the dyno anyways. I really saw no reason to leave it on the fpr. Let us know what homemade trickery you used to get the summit gauge to fit tho and i'll look into it. If B&M knows about the complaints do u think they've done anything to fix it recently?

The B&M gauge is NOT liquid filled and is pretty fragile and dislikes constant vibration from what I gather...

You might be OK if you are just using it to set the FP and removing it... but what a PITA taking it on and off of the filter though....

and HEY! it's not homemade.... It's custom dood!!! lol,

anyways, the basic concept is just making or aquiring a "custom" 12mmx1.5 (or was it 12mmx1.25?) adaptor sleeve to fit over the 1/8NPT (or was it 1/4NPT, damn my memory is crap today) fitting on the FP gauge and then it fits right into the 12mmx1.xx service port on the OEM fuel rail right next to the fpr....presto chango, fuel rail mounted FP gauge...all without having to upgrade to NPT/-AN fittings and braided lines...

absolutely perfect spot also... and the 1 1/2" liquid filled gauge is small enough to clear the strut bar easily with plenty of room...and no vibration related issues...

I was rather proud of myself for that little piece of figurin'...
