Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

I forget what the number was that delta asigned it, but I'm pretty sure it's the next larger size from the 272.
Yea, I got slide-pins too with retaining clips on my domes

13.2@101 all motor. Keep in mind this is in a fully gutted 1900lb Civic (2100lb w/driver) leaking compression. New numbers up as soon as the track opens.

Don't know the actual tranny number, but it's the stock F22A1 transmission (5 speed), should be the same as the ones in Accords.

If you're talking about my numbers, I have a spare stock cam and a friend whose dad owns a cam company that can do a regrind for me, just can't find any specs. I've seen a lot of people getting good results from a Delta 272 regrind, but as far as I can tell they're all n/a, I'm going turbo very soon and have found NOTHING in the way of cam specs for boosted F22's.

Do some research in the forced induction on people's setups. I know there are a few guys running Delta regrinds (272 specifically with turbo setups)....fast93accord comes to mind.

For a turbo cam, you want decent duration, MAD LIFT, and no overlap. I actually think a 262 cam would be better for you if you got as much lift on it as possible...or I guess a 272 with no overlap...

Quick overlap primer- overlap= intake+exhaust valves open at the same time. For N/A this is good because the exhaust gases help pull the intake charge...for boost, it's bad cause the intake charge is pressurized, so it just blows by without getting sparked.

Delta f22 turbo cam specs were about 272 in/260 ex with like a .390" lift on i/e i believe

Also, theres contradicting info against the no overlap on turbo cars theory. I posted about it a couple months back

I know that 272's are an awesome way of putting down maximum torque...

THAT is actually what I've been looking for, something to start with. I'll browse around the F/I section of the site more tomorrow when I'm at work (and getting paid to surf ) to see what I can find. Thanks everyone
