Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Found out I had a pretty big exhaust leak from my flexpipe...couldn't hear it over the sound of my exhaust...So the car is running quite a bit richer that I thought. Even though it made 154whp last time, I think that there is more in it with a proper A/F.

Newayz, replaced the flexpipe and welded on an RSX Type-S muffler. We're gonna retune it either Wed. or Thur. but I'm not sure how it's going to respond. I know more power can be had by backing out some fuel, but with the more restrictive muffler I don't know how much power has dropped. I have noticed that the car has a bit more low end grunt, but it doesn't seem to pull as hard up top. I'm hoping that maybe I'll get at least back up to my previous 154whp even with the new muffler.

I'll post a dyno sheet of the retune as well as one with it overlayed with the previous "bad" tune.

              I put my car on the dyno, a 1991 Honda Accord LX Automatic Coupe, I put down 110whp @ 6k / 108wtq @ 4.5k in 100*F weather.

              Heres the sheet:

I put an F22A1 back in my car w/an H23A IM, stock A6 header (what a clusterfuck) w/the collector enlarged to 2.5", 2.5" cat and catback w/2.5" baffled muffler... with my old PT6 the car has some fucking pep from about 2.5-5K RPM. F22B DOHC was def. stronger up top but was much much weaker off the line. My IAB black box is busted too which I'm sure doesn't help. But yea if ur F22A is strong I don't think an F22B is worth the money over an H23A IM and a Bisi cam. I thikn even the stg. I would beat out an F22B.

or just do a stg2 like me, i have an ebay I/H/E, h23 intake mani, ITR throttle body, chipped ecu, mildly ported head and a bisi stg2 cam. we tryed it with 93 octane when i dynoed it last with this sheet but recently my dad put 87 back in it and it made 175whp and 161wtq.

^ Those are some nice number for a F22A with just basic bolt-ons.

Thats def just as much as a H22A.

                    Nice work.

a new exhaust is coming soon, im upgrading to a 2.5" exhaust piping from Ktellar and maybe a bisimoto header with a 2.5" collector.

What do you mean by so rough looking?

I didn't have a tach signal outlined to have the dyno read my wtq numbers, so I had to convert mph to rpm, and then plotted. Two dyno runs was only $20. If your referring to the upper rev range for those small dips in the curve, that is being caused by pre-detonation or knock I believe, and I'm not quite sure where the culprit is. It did that even before the a6 conversion (sounds like a rock bouncing/tapping lightly the inside of a tin can, like Clinkity Clink Clink Clinkity) It does it less when I run higher octane gas. All service on this car is up to date, 3k since last oil/trans/coolant change (a6 conversion), timing belt job, and replaced every last oil seal throughout the engine. Next week I'll have a "refubished/rebuilt" (head resurfaced, oem valves, retainers, seats, & bisi pro springs, & valve job)head being put on, and I'll hit the dyno again aftwards to dial in my distributer timing, see if it fixes the pre-detonation/knocking issue (Possibly caused by a weak headgasket?).

Which f22a? It makes a big difference considering the exhaust manifold and the intake differences.
