Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    F22a6 im v.s. H23 im

    i currently have a F22a6 intake manifold but im wondering what the gains will be if any from using a H23 intake manifold (tb included), thanks

    the h23 will give u slightly more gains, u wont feel it as much as if u went from f22a1 to h23 but it will be there. the tb is bigger which will help. i think the bottom half of the IM is exactly the same but the upper plentium is what will help. ask granitecb7, he is in the process of doing this to his a6

      According to one member's measurements, the H23 has slightly longer runners than the F22A6 which will be better for low end power.

      I just put an H22 Plenum and TB on my A6 which is identical to the H23 plenum and there was a significant increase. You will notice a difference.

        I actually had both intake manifolds, this thread has pics and written detailed comparison. I renamed the thread as it took me a bit to find it, should be easier to find in a search now. I measured runners, etc.

              As someone previously stated and more...parts that interchange or are same and parts that are different...


              Same/Alike Parts:

              - F22a6/H22/H23 IAB plates w/vacuum diaphragm (butterfly valve plate)
              - H22/H23 throttle-body
              - H22/H23 intake plenum (upper-half of intake manifold)
              - F22a6/H22/H23 throttle position sensor

              Parts That Are Different:

              - H22 & H23 intake runners
              - F22a6 throttle-body vs H22/H23 throttle-body (2mm larger than F22a6)
              - F22a6 vs H22/H23 intake runners
