Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    how to get a deep exhaust tone???

    Alright this is what i am about to get put on i bought a universal carbon fiber canister style muffler with 2.5" inlet and im getting 2.5" custom pipes made from the cat back. i have a high flow cat and i wont have a resonator and i have headers to.... do you think that this will be relatively deep sounding? i want it loud and deep. i only bought a universal tip because i want to have a custom Angle out exhaust.

    A hollow cat with no resonator and a random aftermarket muffler? Signs point to ricey. I would use a regular cat with a good resonator and a good quality muffler. I would think the muffler would have the best impact on exhaust tone.

      It will probably sound like a blender with the setup you listed. First off, those straight through carbon mufflers suck, cause there straight through and dont do any 'muffling'. 2nd, return one header, you only needed to buy one. 3rd get a resonator.

        Check out the exhaust im selling , have it on my car right now and its really really deep when the silencer is out its soooo loud and deep i ride with the silencer in because its soo loud , its a little more high pitch with silencer in but still not ricey ,,,,,, I am going to try and get a sound file and put it in my sig ... let yeah know when i do
