Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    It's Mystical moments of a so Called Welding technology.
    Haha you know, Tig, Mig,Torch,Plasma,ect.. You can do it, It's been done, and just cause it has been doesn't mean it's being done for performance.

    2005 Nopi Wars. InTegra LS with stacks.
    89 Crx V8 transplant mod running stacks only.
    91 accord project. cut the back end out and placed the back end of an accord wagon hatch to the already 2 dr.
    Placed in a C30 with just headers running off the sides an out the fenders.
    {edit oh and this:a Tube frame car call called "ATOM" with 2 types of engines you can buy from, F20c Turbo, or K20. just a 2 seater and just using the headers.
    ECT....

    SPEED CHANNEL. call your local provider!
    and if you need some pics, well get searching, your the only skeptical Tenny boy , for some reason doesn't believe that average joes can do things such as welding.

      If this is in reference to me, then you don't know WTF you're talking about. I never said he couldn't do it, nor could it be done, I just said it couldn't be done without modification to the header. UNLIKE small blocks, Honda flanges fit one way, whereas (example) a Chevrolet 350 ci can have the headers/manifolds switched from one side to the other and also mounted upright/upside down. Also, don't call me "Tenny Boy" who believes "...that average joes can do things such as welding...", because I weld, though I'm not a welder by trade. ANYONE with hands can weld, it's easy, nothing hard by any means. Oh, FYI, plasma isn't welding, it's cutting. Welding is brazing, TIG'ing, MIG'ing, arcing; also, stacks go on intake manifolds, open headers such as the one's you're talking about are called "zoomies", look it up. Peace.

      Oh, one more thing, the ATOM doesn't come with a turbo F20C, its your choice of either the K20, or the K20 supercharged...

            i've always wondered bout that.....anyone have any info on the swap pipe? uses? power gains? what? just curious as to i have never really seen anyone use it.....thanks

              heres a pic of the e-cut out (electronic exhuast cutout)...flip of a switch and you have basically an open header.....not great for non turbo applications.

                      It dumps the exhaust straight out, rather than making it go through all that pipe. Imagine you'e breathing through two long straws, breathe in through one, then out the other. Now get really short straws of the same thickness and try it, it's easier to breathe, and allows you to breathe more eveytime. Same applies to your engine...

                        The thing is this, nothing I read seemed to indicate you had said anything about the person had none modificated Headers. you straight out said what you said. in an extremely Negative manor.

                        Your a jerk to some of these people, and if I had it my way I would take you off cb7tuner.

                        as for anyone being able to use and operate any welding machine it takes at least a good full year and a certification to properly use any welding machine. Including Plasma. It's not just for cutting,It's Mainly for cutting. They do specific applications that certain other feilds of work. High density steel rod welding for Deep sea welders. Building steel structure. this is Called Torch down. its melding both compounds to 1. generally stated this.

                        as for the 350 chevy block well thats possible yet not very smarth. the ports on the exhaust from the cylinder head are pointed at a DOWN pitch! thats why we see the headers go down, then curve UP. inline/ Vertical.I do know about the cylinder head cause I had a z28 with a weak 305/smaller bore then the 350. Honda, Chevy not smart to drive around normal daily driving and have stack headers. As for the STACKS I previously stated, did classify it as being only one item. I stated stacks on the headers (only).

                        I have had my cb7 with no cat, and a Resinator for over 7yrs/3yrs with a Hblock, and I myself have come in no contact of any problems. I work on my own vehicle and I think in my opinion Cat backs are only strongly needed in certain elivations! Im in Washington. near below sea lvl of Washington.

                        And another thing I shouldn't have to defend myself of ignorance.

                        K20 supercharger @7800rpms. 280+hp 2nd of specifications you can buy.

                        Plus other various add ons/colors you can purchase to make your (so called) cheap race car at your prefference.

                            I never took your last thread as a threat, but you coming up and saying you want me off the forum is real good, seeing as how you've been here a whole month...and I don't go around hatin' on people's threads or posts. I like to almost consider myself the "95ACEX" of this forum. Matt was an asshole on AT.com, but instead of having eveyone vote him out, a lot of people backed him. He kept AT free from dumbasses who can't tell a turbo from a lugnut and usually set them straight. (Getting Constitutional on your ass now) The first ammendment gave us freedom of speech, which allows me to say as I please, including here. Him posting that he ran an upside down header was what it was. ALL of my posts regarding his post clearly mentioned some sort of mod to the header to make it work on a Honda. He DID NOT mention until later that the header was modded, which I said is cool, and reposted that I clearly said it had to be modified. The only thing I find offensive is that you called me a Tenny boy, which I am from Tennessee and damn proud of it. However you stooping low enough to make fun of me personally is where I took it home. I'm sorry that I post some things that are a little out of line and it offends you, but if it weren't for people to set people in line, this whole damn forum would be a bunch of n00bs talking nonsense about stuff we already know. I'm sure that the guy whom my post concerned will now realize that members will call out if something looks fishy, or is too dumb to be posted, and he will be weary about his posts in the future. Thus he LEARNED something.

                            This whole thing is completely overdone, and it would have been fine had you simply let it be. I do correct people when they are wrong, because why would you want false information on an informative site?? I will make myself out as an asshole if it comes down to it, because assholes tell it like it is, regardlessof who's listening. Now, my argument....
                            1. I CLEARLY stated twice that modification would be needed to the header....
                            2. I still incur that you do not have to go get certification and 1yr of training to operate a welder. If you wanna pay shipping on it, I'll weld you up an ashtray out of aluminum and write my name on it and send it to you. I have not been trained or schooled, I do a mighty fine job welding...
                            3. Completely researching the ATOM only yielded the k20/k20 supercharged. I think the F20C would require a different chassis due to the F20C being RWD only (no tranny other than the F20C tranny will work I do believe)....
                            If you feel offended by my posts, then don't read them. If you do believe that I go around this bard just picking on people, then read my posts, you're wrong. Learn some English and use spell check.

                              i have a high flow cat.

                              just wundering if it is possible to weld it somewhere after the cat and before the exhaust, and wire it to vtec? will there possibly be a better gain in performance top end wise? please elaborate.

                                Welding after the cat is possible. I dont see any harm it can do to it. I dunno bout wiring to VTEC i dont really think it will do much? But thats me.
