Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

No, you have been mislead. The flow of air through a smooth pipe does not require a lubricant. My Members' Ride Thread - It's a marathon build, not a sprint. But keep me honest on the update frequency!

You had it right with your last post, it just doesn't lubricate anything. Pressure builds up the in head with the oil moving all around the engine and the pistons coming down at the crank case, and the tubes just give it somewhere to go to be burned off: into the intake manifold. I had one of those filters on my H because I didn't want to use the tube when I got an aftermarket intake, which I sealed up. My filter never collected any oil, but there is that other tube going directly into the manifold.
I once screwed up an oil change and put too much in. It ended up going through those tubes and into the intake, and of course all of that burned up and went out through the exhaust... lots of smoke .Last edited by CyborgGT; 11-17-2012, 04:11 AM.
