I was wondering what your guy's thoughts were on this head swap. Does it show nice gains or what?

Please DO NOT Post In The General Section
From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.
The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.
For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.
Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.
Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

again from my understandings, yes the h22 and h23 heads do fit a f22 block, i also beleive the f22b dohc head fits, they all use the same head gasket so why not fit. theres post about this from a while back. i never got how much power any of those gave us guys with the sohc heads. that post turned into a alphabet soup once they started talking about technical stuff. so i guess u could looked it up and maybe u'll understand what the heck they said.I Ain't cocky,I'm confident. And when u say im the best it's a compliment.!

i think if u just build the a6 head and boost ull be up there with h22 powa. i got a mild, (very mild) p&p, and my shit jerks my seat when i hit it.there really wouldnt be much nitice in sohc vtec. now bolt on a h22 or 23 head and u'll be flying.I Ain't cocky,I'm confident. And when u say im the best it's a compliment.!

or just add a cam to what you already have, get the intake manifold from an a6, good header and make more power than all of them
the a6 head isn't inferior as far as the flow is concernedLast edited by Accord R33; 03-27-2005, 11:35 PM.

Bottom line is that headswaps on the cb7 is just a bad idea in the first place. Sure it can be done but why would you do that? Just a big headache and a whole lot of trouble. Swapping the SOHC vtec head on your motor is just a waste of time. The DOHC swaps I can kinda understand but they are so not interchangable that after you have done all the work to make the setup even work at all you just wasted a lot of time and money which you could have spent better in other places of the engine like maybe getting some high compression pistons, upgraded valve spring/retainers, etc. Getting head work done on your stock head would be a better idea.
