what other oem honda parts will switch over in to a F22A1 to raise compression.

i dunno about oem, but if you wanna raise compression you gotta do alot of stuff. mainly pistons. domed pistons mainly. some other stuff too.

If you do it right, milling your head some will raise it and unshroud your valves. I know USDM F23 (98-02 Accords 4-cyl) have 86mm pistons, but you'd have to bore over...I think their compression is around 9.5:1, no positive...but it's close. Another option is JDM F22b, which has 9.2:1 compression with same size bore (85mm). But do to that work all for 9.2?? I'd just mill the head for that much.

OEM H22 pistons at 10.5:1 comp ration may be used. A little head work will be required, but not much...I pooped a hammer!!!

But how safe is an 87mm bore in a F22 block? That leaves approximately 2mm thick cylinder wall sleeves, forced induction is most likely out of the question and all-motor may still be a possibility. On the other hand, the nature of the F22 and it's small rod ratio of 1.49 and 95mm crank puts more stress on the cylinder walls than most other Hondas. the f20a piston has a higher dome than the f22b and f22a i did all the math a few months ago and it came out to be around 10.5 to 11.0:1 . i am in japan now working so i really don't have time to find the parts now.Life is wide, limitless. There is no border, no frontier ~ Bruce
