Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Which intake Setup to use?

Im considering some mods to my intake, Im curious as to whether the H23 plenum on a6 runners with NO Iab plates is a good choice for a mild N/A setup. Or whether i should keep my current setup and just get the black box in there and wired up properly for the IABs to work correctly?

I ask this because i recently had my gutted plate fail on me as one of the JW welds came unstuck and created a gnarley vacuum leak. I also have an f22a1 wireing harness in my bay so i dont have the wires already for the a6 black box.

Currently i have the ever-so-popular swap of the Bisi gasket, A6 runners, double stack IAB plates, one gutted, and a h23 plenum. And im thinking of just running the gasket>a6runners>h23plenum.

    Any thought/suggestions?

Keep in mind i do have a Healthy f22a6 w/ Bisi header and stage 1 cam.

I'd say wire up the iabs. I hated not having any low end power. Had to rev the piss out of it.

Yea im thinkin this will probably be the best bet.. im thinking im gonna go back to the single IAB plate tho. I just dont trust the JB weld and dont have the cash for the h23 spacer plates on Ebay

id do the 2nd option with a bored throttle body and have it matched with your upper plenum. when you're serious, goto itbs.

Runner length is where it will shift torque. Shorter runner move torque up. The plenum depends on a lot of things. To big and there's a huge velocity drop when opening the throttle. to small it can do thingsfrom choking power. To keeping the car from reaching higher kpa.

I am taking a stock manifold and cutting the runners shorter then re tig. Porting goes a long way if done correctly.

Tb should be oversized. Generally it works better when you dyno tune intake length. Lose that choke at the plate.
