I just had my F22a6 rebuilt... I had the following work done:
Bore block, Polish crank, Reface head, Remove cam, Clean block,
Main bearings, Rod bearings, Thrust washers, Pistons, Rings, Valve cover grommets, Paint, Spark plugs, Oil change, MVI, Coolant, water pump, timing belt, balance shaft belt, all seals and gaskets. I also replaced my head with a bullfrog head, which is basically a ported polished head with 3 angle valves, and a bullfrog grind on the cam. VERY happy with all the work, my car now drives like new. If you want more info let me know.

Are you going to rebuild it yourself?

i rebuilt mine awhile back now, but i got the head gasket kit at all new belts and piston rings. Honed out the cylinders and resurfaced the heads on the pistons cleaned out the head checked all the valves to see how bad they were gunked up for the most part i just went by the haynes book ( I think it was) for rebuilding steps and stuff its easy if you know something about engines

I was just wondering if you had any prior knowledge of engine building and procedure.....there is no room for error..and I know you can't afford a long down time...

i think its not practical to rebuild these engines.... because a used one compression tested and the whole 9 yardz is probly more cheaper and less time consuming..

not to mention the tools u need for re serficing etc.

                    thats my 2 cents.

Bore block- probably going to use stock (sized) pistons
Polish crank-i also suggested either balanced and/or knife edged
                        Reface head- forgot about this
Remove cam- and put another one in
Clean block- like with a pressure washer?

                        Rod bearings-^^ditto^^

Pistons-stock spec, still up to 91accrdlx
                        Rings-FOR SURE
Valve cover grommets- are uber cheap
                        Paint- the valve cover?
                        Spark plugs- FOR SURE
                        Oil change-^^ditto^^
                        MVI-done by whom?
                        Coolant-FOR SURE
                        water pump-DEFINETLY
                        timing belt-^^ditto^^

alright hey fushi its gonna be cool this time to have some downtime, cause clark is letting me rebuild one of his f22's isntead of mine, so i can still have a car and all. the engine we will be rebuilding has 168K on it, so it is already in a shit load of better condition then my 261k engine. and yeah were gonna replace everything in this damn thing, im gonna hopefully get the block bored out so we can put in some bigger pistons, and i think ive already decided i want a delta 272 cam. and yeah i want this thing to be nice. lol like he said were gonna have three manuals( haynes, chilton, and helms) so if we fuck up we are trully idiots. we should be alright though. so does anyone else know of anything else we will need to do while attempting this? should we get some ARP studs and stuff? oh yeah and to top it off were gonna being psshhhhiiiiiinnnnggg it as well....

well thats the thing dude. for he money u spend to rebuild this f22a engines u better off getting a jdm f22b for the car. it offers 160hp and u good to go....
before u start rebuilding juast ask ur self what u so ur self do with the engine in the near future. if u gona bust then u better start working on the block etc(depending on how many psi u gona run) if u going stock then rebuild it stock.. but for the money u gona put there u might buy another cb7 or two. lol
are we there yet are we there yet are we there yet
