Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

"Dont Knock it Till Ya Try it"
    Build Thread:

Heres my plans for my Cb...All input is welcomed if you've done a similar build feel free to chime in aswell!

    Head:
    Delta 272 cam
    Skunk2 cam gear-Purchased
    Maybe a mild P&P and a 3 angle valve grind(undecided)

    Trans:
    H22 or 23 auto trans
Maybe a higher stall converter around 3k-3.5(If there even out there have yet to check)

    Bolt ons:
I have this basically covered atm maybe some slight changes.
    BBP header-Purchased
SRI with velocity stack(track use only)
P&P IM ports to match head
    Bisi IM gasket-Purchased
    ECU-Purchased

Maybe a 75 wet shot kit likely a zex kit as ive had good experience with them in the past.Colder plugs ofcourse.(This is the reason i put it in N/A because this will be the last thing done if i even decide to do so before tune)

    Tune:
Going to ask around at some reputable tuning shops(RLZ,DG or TDC) to see what they think is best.Have yet to do as im in no rush. This build isnt much but im no baller it will take sometime to accomplish.Very mild set up which i like an will be very reliable in the long run.

75s probably going to be the max 100 maybe if im feeling frogy.Kits undecided as of now it would only be used for track 90% of the time anyway. Also might be looking into some slicks if i go this way because it will be WOT switch also add $100 bux extra for nitrous tune where N/A is $300-400.

The TB spacer will do absolutely nothing. Don't waste your money there. Everything else looks pretty good.

Do some research on where your powerband is going to be. If you're not doing anything to the bottom end, you don't want to be revving it too high very often. I would say at least get some ARP rod bolts to help keep things together at high RPMs.

how much hp/tq are you wanting to squeeze out of her? -the nitrous?

What he has listed probably won't break 180whp, if that... it'll be a decently quick car, though. That's without the nitrous, of course.

Just be aware that a true N/A motor and a nitrous motor like different things.

that's not going to happen without a bunch of internal work and higher compression. why are you building a b1? the f22a1 is far superior to any other f-series motors out there.

                      I’m with you.
why build the b1? Swap for a a1 head for the better flowing head. sohc vtec is performance pointless

Yes ik this thats why i put what i did about the nitrous and its not really FI either. But idk if im doing it anyway just yet. Also delta said the 272 cam produces good low end and great high end i will only be turning 6500.As this is my dd and i want to keep it that way.

Why not?i pulled pretty good on a 5spd basic bolt on a6 coupe from a 45mph roll. Now from a dig it wouldnt have been the same story. Also put down a better time at WRP than a h23/auto swaped 4dr sedan.Im doing this because no one else has faith in what they can do.Gotta love the under dog "dont knock it till ya try it" is what ive allways went by.

The B1 really DOES have a lousy port design and valve angle... The head really is terrible in comparison to the F22A's potential. But you can still make some power with it.

Yes i understand that and ive seen the diffrence between the ports and f22b1 is lacking a good deal, but ive got all required tools for a p&p which ive did mildy on 2 or 3 cars ive owned.Im no professional but i did ok and seemed to help.Im sure if i dont do the p&p i will have it done at some point and time by H square there pretty damn good.If i do it i will post pix and see what others think vise versa if a shop does it.
