Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

      Sounds pretty bad ass, I'm sure it sounds better in person. Why didn't you up a muffler on it? I'm sure that will give it a better sound. Also what performance gains did you see/feel?

        I wanted no muffler for looks weird but cops never asked about it to my friends that have straight pipe w/ no muffler, sounds way better in person, i'll try to get a video today on my ipod because it has better sound than my camera oddly enough, i feel more power at higher rpm but thats about all, a little less torque though.

                Downforce yo lol. But seriously its cut flush with the hood and it will shoot a flame streight up at 50 mph so there isn't a problem with winds. Plus many drag cars run this type of setup without issues.

                    Haha, Sordz, that's why I was curious. I always see that kind of setup cut flush and angled a bit rearward, I should've assumed you wouldn't leave it like that.

                          Some nice setups in this thread. I'm currently looking for a catback. Just a stock rebuilt a6 with h22 intake and a4 header. Should I run 2.25 or 2.5 tubing? Not sure if this is the correct place for this question, thanks.

                            Megan Racing 4-2-1 Stainless Header, car sounds high flow CAT, Megan Racing 6" Carbon fiber muffler w/ 4" titanium burnt tip, Full 2.5" mendrel bent piping from header to cat to muffler. No Resonator on it and its not raspy! Although it does pop every now and then after running wide open. It hums when cruising, and has a nice deep mellow tone. At WOT its deep and loud!
