The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

    double TB(?????)
    single TB (?????)
    spacer removed (works great
double spacers (sounds good, restricts at top end)
poormans euro r (i just did one for d112crzy)(best one so far)

now my question is in the double and single TB ones

I'll be running the stock iab plate with a blacktrax on my h23. Am I right in thinking no spacer is for top-end hp?

Kewl, I like my low-end, so the spacer is right for me.

I wonder if anyone has a dyno to actually show a difference in the powerband with and without the spacer. I would venture to say it is minimal.

That's true, BUT there is the argument of it's benefit in the middle of the manifold, sure the spacer concept is great, but if you already have a phenolic IM gasket, what good is having a phenolic spacer in the middle of the IM, when a stripped out OEM IAB plate does the same job for next to nothing? Even w/o a phenolic IM gasket, the runners will still heat up some, so you'd have a cooler plenum, it's 1/2 of what you want. Something to think about!

I read a post from 98VTEC awhile back saying that w/ tuning, removing the IAB plate completely will def. show decent gains. I think the info orig. came from HT, and I'm not exactly sure if there was a small gain in the low end as well w/ tuning or if it was truely a mid-high range gain.

To start, I'm going to sit the plenum directly on the runners on my A6/H series IM, I'll see how I like it.

                          thats another story,

it should work for the fact that air is being pushed in

but you would think with the spacer would allow more air in, which would help?

something needs to be done with it.
