Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    F20B ECU Help

so i currently have an f20b bluetop with an h2b kit...on a 99 gsr tranny in my eh2 94 hatchback....nothing special just an intake and open header....now the thing is i am running on a virgin p28 ecu.....dont get me wrong its fine and pulls pretty hard just the rev limiter is around 7,400rpm-7,500rpm....cant really tell....and i know this motors is a high revving motor that red lines at 8,200.......would it make a diffrence either with a p72 gsr ecu or a jdm h22a ecu......i know most of you all will say chip your ecu and tune it....but right now xmas is around and all...dont have much cash....what do you all recomend me to do......i know they all run diffrent maps...just need a little more knowledge....which ecu should i be using for now?

    a h22 ecu (p13)would be better than a virgin p28 and a p72.
considering a f20b blue top is just a destroked h22.

Get off that virgin P28 ASAP its made to run a 1.6L with tiny injectors, it would cost you pretty much the same for either a chipped p28 as it would for a p13, but with the p28 you can tune it for your engine, and injector size, right now it may seem like you have alot of power but your running lean also, or you could just buy a chipping kit and have someone chip it unless its your DD, and you cant afford to not have the car for a week or so, also did your stock intake piping fit right onto the TB or was it too small?, you:ll want to make sure you do have the 200hp sir-t version and not the 180hp sir version which only redlines at 7800

You'll have to wire in a knock sensor if you use a p13.

Since you have p28, you could send it to me to have chipped and I could send it off with a basemap for you.
