Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    whicxh header , low budget, do u think would be the better

    well im usings p5p typeS pistons , head cut to 20 and waiting for OBX stage 3 cams to come

    From a type s prelude? Did u notice a difference with the pistons?

      What is your budget? cheap? if so then get the megan and modify the last collector to 2.5". If you can afford $500 range, then I highly recomend the prospeed header. If making power at all cost is important, then run the SMSP or Hytech. I suggest the SMSP.

          nice setup. i just hope that with all that compression you wont have to retard the distributor...which is basically reducing power. second, dont mill too low, those pistons will go slap happy

          178 whp and 148 torque (mustang dyno)
          14.8 @ 93 in 1/4 mile-in Accord
          ??.? @ ?? in 1/4 mile-in Civic

            You shouldn't have to retard the distributor, but will need to run "premium" gas. I would not mill the head, but if you do, 20 thou is not anything to worry about with these type s pistons.

              with an h22 he should be running premium gas anyway. especially if it is a JDM motor.

              anyway, back on topic. find out your compression after milling the head. any higher than 12, you cant run safley on pump gas. that is why you would need to retard the timing.

              the header choice would prolly be megan if your are limiting those as your choices.

                anyone knows exactly the DC header collector's diameter???


                i received the megan last week but the coleector is only 2''!!!!!

                and the h23 one is 2'' so it doesnt have any sense to have the same header for an h22 and h23 !!!!!!!!!!

                some sellers response me that the DC have 2.25'' for h22 !!!

                pliz help me to know if i need to turn back the megan crapy ass shet !!!
