Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

My head is fine. Some how carbon built up on the back of quite a few valves, and once they were cleaned they sealed right up!! As soon as taxes get here Ill get some springs and have some numbers from the 272.
ps. We vacuum tested the head and it is good. I think that once I get my cams in, I'm going to take make a thread all about my car and set up, and then some dyno numbers!

I will be ordering springs on Friday. I'm considering going with the crower springs because they are tested production springs. When I spoke to bisimoto on the phone it seemed to me that maybe he hasn't spent much time into r&d on the h23, he needed me to measure id, od, and install hight, which is not a big deal, but I would think that he would have a h23 head laying around if he did much with them. I trust that his springs would be of the best quality, but I have been reconsidering putting a untested valve train part into my daily driver.

woho! Just ordered some valve springs. I would have to run over a 600 lift to get anywhere near coil bind on these springs, so they should be good for any cam I may want.

Good deal, happy for ya. Besides, with the Crower valvetrain, you and always upgrade later to nastier camshafts and not have to remove the head, since valvetrain will be ready for them cams.

my current thinking is this, for now a 272 cam, and very possibly a quality header, then I will put money toward all the other things I want to do to my car, like suspension and repaint it etc.... then build the f22b head and a f22a block to be pretty nasty na, and set up a hefty shot of nos for the strip. this will be way off in the future though.
without rasing the compression, I dont think I want a cam that is much nastier, my dynamic compression ratio is already at 7.5 and that is about as low as I want.
