    Lighten stock fly wheel.

As stated, have someone done this before?Lighten the original/stock F20/F22/h22 fly wheel?

I know l/weight fly wheel means reduce the thickness of the fly wheel, drill hole, etc so that the throttle respond can be quicker,of course this mod will reduce top speed and the fly wheel must be balanced before install.

But,what i concern is after all this being done,is the stock fly wheel still hold the strength or rigidity to our engine out put?let's say stock engine.

If someone has done this before, please show some details on how and what is the limitation on lighten the stock fly wheel weight.

    Thank you.

im not sure about accord flywheels cuz i just recently became and accord lover but on integras, the stock weight of a ls flywheel was 19 lbs and most people said the safest you could go was 14lbs without screwin the strength of the flywheel. I'm sure it still does to an extent but i havent had any issues with mine. Im sure it doesnt help much but hope it atleast gives you an idea

IMO its not worth it to lighten the stock flywheel especially when lightened flywheels are dirt cheap on ebay!

It's probably cheaper just to get an aftermarket lightwieght flywheel.

And a lightweight flywheel won't change the speed of the car.

ask 92ex, he bought my stock lightened flywheel. I think stock is like 19-21 pounds and they took off 3 or 4. He loves it. And its boosted

Yeah, I have MRX's stock lightened flywheel. weighs about 15 pounds. My car isn't boosted anymore, but the flywheel is nice and holds up to the abuse. If your not one for the 8.8lbs one and want lighter then stock, I'd say it's a good option
